Roberto Carlos da Silva

Roberto Carlos, full name Roberto Carlos da Silva (born 10 April 1973, Garca , Sao Paolo), is a Brazilian-Spanish football wingback who has played for Real Madrid since 1996. He has been a member of the Brazil national team in three World cups, helping the team reach the final in the 1998 and win the 2002 tournament. He is one of only five players to have played more than 100 matches in the Champion Leagues as of March 2007.

Roberto Carlos is known for his trademark powerful free kicks (known as a cannon). He is also known for his speed and his aggressiveness at joining the offense, often leading counter attacks from the back of the field. He is regarded as one of the best full backs of all time. He finished second to countryman Ronaldo in the 1997 FIFA world player of the year award poll and was named by Pele as one of the top 125 great living footballer in March 2004.

He played for Palmeiras and Inter Milan, before settling with Real Madrid in 1996, making him the team's longest serving foreign player.

On 2 August 2005 Carlos received dual Spanish and Brazilian citizenship. This proved important for Real Madrid, as it meant that he now counted as a European union player, opening up one of the club's allowed three slots for non-EU players and enabling Real to sign fellow Brazilian star Robinho.

During the 2005-06 season, there was news of the possibility of Roberto Carlos leaving Madrid, after which he was linked to several clubs, most notably Chelsea and Fenerbache.

In the 2006-2007 season, Roberto Carlos was not so favorable to Fabio Cappelo. he didnt play in several occasions and was considered a substitute. He hasnt been scoring much goals lately for his minutes played this entire season is not high.

On 9 March 2007, he announced his decision to not renew his contract with Real Madrid. Greek media declare that he is very close to Olympiacos and his friend Rivaldo.

Raul Gonzalez Blanco

Raul Gonzalez Blanco, biasa dipanggil Raul, lahir di Madrid- pinggiran kota dari San Cristobal de Los Ángeles pada tgl 27 June 1977. Ia telah bermain untuk Real Madrid di tingkat senior sejak 1994, dimana sekarang ia menjabat sebagai kapten. Ia telah bermain lebih dari 100 pertandingan untuk tim nasional Spanyol dan merupakan pencetak gol terbanyak yaitu 47 gol. Ia mempersembahkan Spanyol di turnamen Piala Dunia 1998, Euro 2000, Piala Dunia 2002, Euro 2004 dan Piala Dunia 2006.

G 14

G-14 adalah sebuah organisasi dari klub Sepak bola Eropa. Organisasi ini didirikan pada tahun 2000 oleh 14 klub papan atas Eropa dengan tujuan untuk memberikan satu suara dalam negosiasi dengan UEFA dan FIFA. Anggota baru hanya dapat bergabung berdasarkan undangan saja. Pada Agustus 2002, empat anggota baru bergabung sehingga jumlah anggota menjadi 18. Walaupun demikian, nama organisasi tidaklah berubah. G-14 intinya merupakan kelompok yang dibentuk untuk menyeimbangi keputusan-keputusan dari UEFA atau FIFA dimana diindikasikan sering mengambil keputusan yang berkaitan dengan liga sepak bola Eropa tanpa berkonsultasi dengan klub-klub partisipannya. Klub-klub yang tergabung dalam G-14 tersebar di tujuh negara yang telah memenangkan sekitar 250 gelar juara nasional secara total. Tiga klub masing-masing datang dari liga utama Inggris, France, Jerman, Italy, Spanyol dan dua dari Belanda, dimana liga utama dari enam negara ini umum dianggap sebagai liga utama dari sepak bola Eropa. Anggota lainnya adalah FC Porto dari Portugal. Sampai dengan tahun 2006 klub-klub anggota G-14 telah memenangkan 40 gelar Liga Champion dari 51 musim yang telah diselenggarakan. The club also has a similarly successful basketball section. The original uniform colors, white t-shirt and shorts, and blue socks were inspired in the London Corinthians, and the purple band in the badge represents the kingdom of Castile.

On December 23, 2000, the FIFA awarded Real Madrid as the Best Club of the XX Century.

During its history, the club has acquired a lot of nicknames. The first ones were los merengues, because the white dessert merinque and los blancos. Both simply referred to the club's legendary all-white strip and are the most common until this day. In the 1970s, the nickname los vikingos became popular, due to the signings of several northern European players. More recently, the media called the club los galacticos, referring to club's tendency to sign the most famous players in the world.
